Team Manager - Children''s Services Barnet Council Assessment Team Pay rate £31.78 per hour PAYE exclusive of holiday pay or 43.72 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Manager to join a busy Children''s Services team within the London Borough of Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality services across Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children while driving best practice and positive outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and support a team of Social Workers and support staffOversee caseloads across Child Protection, CIN, and LACProvide reflective supervision, guidance, and performance managementEnsure high-quality assessments, care planning, and case progressionChair strategy meetings, core groups, and other multi-agency forumsDrive service improvement and maintain compliance with statutory frameworksManage complex and high-risk cases, providing oversight and directionWork collaboratively with multi-agency partners and stakeholdersRequirements Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) Registered with Social Work England (SWE) Significant post-qualified experience within Children''s Services Previous management or supervisory experience (Team Manager / Senior Practitioner level) Strong knowledge of Child Protection, CIN, and LAC frameworks ..... full job details .....
