Team Manager – Safeguarding Team (Starting Well) – London Borough of HaveringContract: Permanent • Grade 10 – £59,511-£63,966 per annum with an annual Market Supplement (MS) of £4,000 (subject to final confirmation).
OverviewJoin to apply for the Team Manager – Safeguarding Team (Starting Well) role at London Borough of Havering. This role is part of the Starting Well Department within our Children’s Social Care Services. Following an Ofsted inspection, we are on an improvement journey to elevate practice across services and are seeking dedicated social care practitioners to help advocate for children, promote well-being, and drive positive outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families.
About The RoleTeam Managers are integral to our office. They empower, provide high support and challenge, and motivate our social workers to collectively achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families. As the Team Manager you will be responsible for:
Manage and oversee staff to ensure effective delivery of services to children, young people, and their families through high quality social work in line with standards of good practice, legislation, and guidance
Lead and monitor staff in ensuring robust recording of information on relevant systems and databases, capturing and evidencing the voice of the child
Assist the Service Manager and Head of Service in planning and developing services for vulnerable children, young people, and their families, identifying needs and potential difficulties/challenges, escalating issues as appropriate
Effectively manage budgets and ensure services are cost effective
Produce reports and attend meetings/forums as required
Ideally you will be a Team Manager with some experience of working within Safeguarding.
