Team Leader - Residential Children's Home (EBD)

Location: Branston, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire (DE14)

Salary: -30,000 - -32,000 per annum + Sleep-In Payments + Overtime + Enhanced Shift Rates

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join a therapeutic 3-bed Children's Residential Home in Branston, supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Support, mentor and guide Residential Support Workers.
  • Deliver high-quality care in line with individual care plans.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Promote positive outcomes through therapeutic and trauma-informed practice.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and care documentation.
  • Work in partnership with social workers, schools, healthcare professionals and families.
  • Support compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within a Children's Residential Home.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex needs.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and residential childcare regulations.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and attachment theory.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Leadership & Management qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader.
  • Experience working within therapeutic residential settings.
  • Understanding of Ofsted frameworks and inspections.
