Team Leader
to join our growing
Operations
Team
here at Holman UK. Looking after our vehicle compliance team and working alongside our existing team leader you will support a team of circa 20 employees on varying terms and conditions. For the first 6 months you’ll need to spend at least 5 days a week in the office before we move you over to our hybrid model of
Tues-Thurs
in the office whilst working from home on a
Monday
and
Friday , so please bear this in mind when applying. This is a permanent opportunity and we would be offering a competitive salary based on your experience.Key Responsibilities
Ensure achievement against departments KPIsAct upon performance information provided, coaching and guiding staff members to improve knowledge and skill where requiredProvide expertise on transport compliance and management thereofChair regular employee performance reviews and annual appraisals, and manage follow up actionsSupport team development and personal development within teams – helping teams and individuals to be the best they can be by:
empowering individuals to contribute to team, department and company success;delegating authority appropriately to build knowledge and skill;recognising each member as an individual and taking active interest in their goals;acknowledging and rewarding good performance;communicating constantly and consistently – sharing department and company activities and goals to build understanding and engagement;proactively monitoring morale and motivation, reporting to line management and HR where action is required;organising, preparing for and facilitating positive team meetings, focusing on continuous improvementleading by example - living the Holman values 24/7; demonstrating willingness to work with individuals and teams to get the job done; supporting company initiatives
Work with counterparts in other departments to promote effective cross-departmental communicationComplete direct report back to work interviewsThe ability to manage short and long term projectsAct as the departments representative at wider team meetingsBe the initial contact for all internal customers regarding the functionEnsure that all driver experience with Holman exceeds their expectationMonitor the delivery of the function and make suggestions to develop it, focusing on delivering a comprehensive and quality service to its customersWhat are we looking for?
A proven track record in team management with a minimum of two years’ experience managing a large diverse teamTransport compliance experience essentialDemonstrable understanding of key transport compliance- O Licence, PMI, LBT, Tachograph Calibrations etcA proven track record of dealing with customer care situationsCPC desirable but not essentialWhat’s in it for you?
