Team Leader Vacancy

Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm | Pay: £15.00 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our food manufacturing team to oversee the day-to-day running of our capsules and tablets areas. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for supporting the team to deliver strong efficiency, consistent quality, and full compliance with site standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the capsules and tablets teams during the daily shift.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of production areas, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required quality standard.
• Monitor workflow, priorities, and performance to help keep production on track.
• Ensure pallets are booked on correctly against the relevant jobs.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Identify and raise any issues that may affect quality, efficiency, or compliance.
• Act as a point of contact for the team, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the shift.
• Promote good housekeeping, attention to detail, teamwork, and compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and BRCGS expectations.
• Ensure staff follow strict GMP guidelines and site procedures.
• Monitor machine output and batch quality to help ensure production targets are achieved.
• Support safe working practices, including awareness that the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.

About You

• Previous management, supervisory, or team leader experience is essential.
• Confident leading people in a busy production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality, efficiency, and compliance expectations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to keep a team focused and organised.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to make decisions during the shift.
• Experience working to food safety, quality, or BRCGS standards would be beneficial.
