Tradewind Recruitment - 1:1 Support Assistant Opportunity (SEMH Focus)Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a supportive specialist setting to recruit a 1:1 Support Assistant for a pupil with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, steady under pressure and committed to helping young people grow in confidence and stability.The pupil spends part of the school day within a dedicated nurture/unit provision and the remainder in a classroom environment. You will provide consistent support across both settings, helping the pupil manage emotions, build positive interactions and stay engaged with learning.Key ResponsibilitiesOffer personalised 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH and behavioural challengesPromote emotional regulation and reinforce positive behaviour strategiesSupport learning both in the main classroom and within the school''s specialised unitWork closely with teaching and pastoral staff to maintain a structured routineEncourage confidence, independence and improved engagementThe Ideal Candidate Will:Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needsBe patient, understanding and able to remain calm during difficult situationsBuild trusting relationships and provide consistent boundariesFollow tailored support plans and contribute to the pupil''s progressBe reliable, proactive and genuinely motivated to make a differenceWhat You''ll Receive from ..... full job details .....
