We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school community within a successful multi-academy trust in the Leicester area. The organisation is committed to high standards, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, helping them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
Typical Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assisting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities.
- Supporting children with SEND, EAL, and additional learning needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and safeguarding children at all times.
- Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
- Assisting with intervention programmes and targeted support sessions.
- Contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

- Has previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential).
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant training (desirable).
