As a TA at Maple Walk you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Class Teacher and assist in Year 2 to support the children''s learning and development. Maple Walk is a warm, vibrant, successful coeducational independent prep school for children aged 4-11 in North West London, housed in a bespoke eco-friendly building. You will be working with a supportive and inclusive Senior Management Team and other colleagues, with a good programme of training and INSET activities on offer.Working closely with teachers to help pupils to achieve their potential, offering them support pastorally and with their academic work under the direction of the teacher.Must have the right to work in the UK; minimum 1 year experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school settingYour main responsibilities will include: Supporting Pupils:Clarifying and explaining instructions;Helping pupils use equipment and materials effectively;Motivating and encouraging the class;Assisting in a range of subject areas, e.g. Language, mathematics, reading, spelling, handwriting/presentation, behaviour, etc.Supporting pupils to concentrate on and finish work set;Meeting physical needs as required whilst encouraging independence;Assisting the teacher in developing appropriate resources.Helping ..... full job details .....
