Salary: andpound;90 andndash; andpound;120 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role:
A supportive and inclusive school in Buckinghamshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have visual impairments. You will play a vital role in ensuring students can access learning and develop independence, confidence, and life skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with VI using braille, assistive technology, and mobility devices.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored learning and life skills activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IEPs, risk assessments, and care plans.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience or training in supporting students with visual impairments (preferred).
- Knowledge of SEN and strategies to remove learning barriers.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable with strong communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
