Salary: andpound;90 andndash; andpound;120 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role:
An inclusive and forward-thinking school in Milton Keynes is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to support pupils with visual impairments. You will be central to ensuring these students can fully engage with lessons and develop independence in a positive, inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with VI using braille, mobility aids, and assistive technology.
- Deliver tailored learning interventions and life skills support 1:1 or in small groups.
- Work alongside teaching staff, SENCOs, and outside agencies to maximise student progress.
- Help create and implement IEPs, risk assessments, and individual care plans.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with visual impairments or a desire to develop in this area.
- Knowledge of SEN and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, caring approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
