Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and complex needs within a specialist setting.

The role involves working on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting behaviour, communication and day-to-day learning. The environment is hands-on and includes access to therapeutic provisions such as hydrotherapy and outdoor-based activities.

Key responsibilities:

• 1:1 support for pupils with ASD
• Supporting behaviour regulation and engagement
• Assisting within structured classroom settings
• Working alongside teaching and therapy staff

Requirements:

• Experience with ASD / SEN / SEMH (school or care background)
• Strong behaviour management and patience
• Consistent, calm approach
• Comfortable in active environments

Start date: 13th April
Long-term opportunity with potential to go permanent.
