The RoleThis Teaching Assistant role in Lancaster, Lancashire will involve supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom, helping pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support, while also delivering targeted interventions and assisting pupils with SEND to ensure they can access learning and reach their full potential.
The successful Teaching Assistant in Lancaster, Lancashire will:
- Support the Year 6 class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and improve confidence.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND, adapting activities where appropriate.

RequirementsTo be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant in Lancaster, Lancashire, you will:
- Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting.
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND or be willing to develop your skills in this area.
- Be patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping children achieve their potential.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check registered to the Update Service.
