£462.80 - £525 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Shields. This full-time role will begin in September and continue until July, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Working alongside the class teacher and wider Early Years team, you will support children throughout the provision, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive. You will play an important role in supporting pupils'' learning, encouraging independence, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to their social, emotional and academic development through engaging, play-based learning opportunities.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or another full and relevant Early Years/Teaching Assistant qualification) and have recent experience working within a primary school, ideally within an EYFS setting. A good understanding of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, safeguarding and supporting children with a range of learning and additional needs is essential.

Requirements
The desired TA will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- QTS within the UK
