Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who is highly motivated, innovative and who is interested in providing 1-1 support to pupils with additional needs.The role is to support children with SEND, usually working on a 1-1 basis, assisting the children in accessing the learning that is set by the class teacher. The role is based in a school in the Huntingdon area of Cambridgeshire. It is a warm and supportive school where staff are committed to the inclusion of all pupils.The successful candidate will:• Be committed to inclusion• Enjoy making learning a positive experience• Have some experience of adapting the curriculum and creating bespoke activities to meet an individual s needs• Be highly organised and have excellent time management skills• Be able to work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo but have the ability to use their own initiative to support individuals• Have excellent interpersonal skills that motivate and inspire children• Be highly motivated, have a positive attitude and be prepared to develop relationships with children who need consistency and clear boundaries from someone who really cares• Have some experience in supporting children with additional needs within an educational setting Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
