Teaching Assistant

At Vision for Education, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Chatteris.

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant 

Location: Chatteris
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2026

Working as an Teaching Assistant, you''ll be working with children aged 4–11 with a variety of special educational needs. 

Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant role include:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Aiding communication and classroom engagement
• Supporting mobility and physical needs
• Delivering personal care respectfully and sensitively
• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide a nurturing environment

What we''re looking for:

• Experience in working with children, particularly with those with additional needs
• A compassionate and resilient nature
• Confidence in providing personal care when needed
• Ability to commit to the school’s full-time working hours
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Able to provide references, and proof of right to work
