Full-Time Teaching Assistant South Bristol About the Teaching Assistant Role As a Teaching Assistant, you ll play an important part in supporting pupils with additional needs. Your work will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support as a Teaching Assistant Helping the class teacher with activities, lessons and day-to-day classroom routines Creating a calm, supportive space where pupils feel safe and ready to learn Assisting with personal care when needed Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils and staff as a full-time Teaching Assistant This full-time Teaching Assistant role gives you the chance to get to know pupils well and see the difference your support makes over time. What We re Looking For in a Teaching Assistant You don t need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant before, but we are looking for people who are: Patient, caring and reliable Confident communicating and working as part of a team Experienced in supporting children or young people in any setting Happy to help with personal care when required Able to commit to full-time Teaching Assistant work Genuinely interested in supporting pupils with additional needs Full training is provided to help you grow in your Teaching Assistant role.
