Teaching Assistant Location: Kensington and Chelsea Position: Teaching Assistant Start date: ASAP (September) Pay: £1700 - £2300 per month Temp to Perm A primary school based in Kensington and Chelsea are looking for a teaching assistant to join a KS1 classroom as soon as possible in the winter term with the view to go permanent before the end of the academic year for the right candidate. The successful teaching assistant will be joining the schools established SEN department to assist a student with mild ASD in a 1:1 role. Your main responsibility will be to enhance the pupils learning either individually away from the class in sensory rooms and quiet areas of the school or as a group. The school is in a new building that was recently renovated during the pandemic and has great facilities to assist SEN students. This year they are almost at full capacity with 2 classrooms per year group ranging from EYFS up to Year 6. You will be joining a school that focuses on a set of shared values that help the students to work cooperatively and with respect.
