Reception Teaching Assistant needed for a Primary School in Blackburn We''re currently working with a lovely primary school who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in their Reception class.This is a full-time role starting soon, expected to last 6-8 weeks. You''ll be working closely with the class teacher to help create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment for the children. About the role:You''ll be providing general support across the Reception classroom. Your day-to-day will include:Supporting children during lessons, group work, and playtimeHelping with early phonics, reading, and number workAssisting the class teacher with preparing resources and setting up activitiesEncouraging positive behaviour and helping children settle into routinesSupporting the social and emotional development of the children Who we''re looking for:Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)At least 6 months of experience in a similar role within a school settingA strong background in EYFS and confidence working within the early years frameworkGood knowledge of phonics, particularly Read Write IncA friendly, proactive approach and a genuine interest in early years education Bonus if you have:Experience supporting early assessments and observationsKnowledge of continuous provision and child-led learningA current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) Why work on supply with Veritas?Flexible work - choose the days ..... full job details .....
