Teaching Assistant - Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Islington, North London

Salary: -1,800 - -2,300 per month
Start Date: Immediate / September
Contract: Permanent | Full-time

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support pupils across the classroom, provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, and help children develop both academically and personally.

This welcoming primary school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. The school values teamwork and has a strong focus on creating a positive learning environment for both pupils and staff.

• Support teaching and learning across the classroom

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

• Assist with targeted interventions and learning activities

• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development

• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Essential:

• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient, positive and enthusiastic approach

• A genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and development

Desirable:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Degree in Education, Psychology or a related subject
