Year 1 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)Location: Mansfield (NG20)Start Date: Monday 13th April - OngoingAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil. The child is currently working at an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) academic level and accesses learning within an alternative provision setting within the school.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child''s educational journey by providing consistent, tailored support to meet their individual needs on an ongoing basis.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, both in the classroom and alternative provision settingSupport learning activities adapted to EYFS levelAssist in managing and supporting behaviour in a positive and consistent mannerBuild a strong, trusting relationship with the pupilWork closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider staff teamFollow and implement the child''s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)Meet the child at the start of each day and ensure a consistent handover with parents/carersSupport the child''s social, emotional, and academic developmentAbout the ChildDiagnosis of AutismHas an EHCP in placeEngages in learning at an EYFS levelBenefits from routine, consistency, and a nurturing approachThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processes.Hold an in date safeguarding certificate or be willing to complete ..... full job details .....
