Teaching Assistant

Year 1 Teaching Assistant Are you a compassionate and adaptable EYFS or Key Stage 1 practitioner looking for a rewarding new role? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a supportive and vibrant primary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant for an ongoing, full-time position. This role is split between targeted 1-to-1 support for a student with specific needs and general classroom support. Role Details Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant (1-to-1 and General Support) Location: Wigan Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible Commitment: 5 days a week (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, ongoing basis) Pay Rate: £94-£99 a day Key Requirements Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or 2) or Early Years. Specialist Skillset: Experience or confidence in providing tailored 1-to-1 support alongside general classroom duties. Approach: A patient, nurturing, and proactive mindset with strong communication and behaviour management skills. Commitment: Fully available to work full-time on an ongoing, long-term basis. What We Are Looking For- Hold a recognised Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning. A warm, approachable personality with a genuine passion for early childhood education. Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
