KS2 Teaching Assistant - Tottington | BL8

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Tottington, BL8.

The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 2, helping children access learning and develop confidence and independence.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils across KS2
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Supporting reading, writing and mathematics
• Reinforcing classroom learning
• Providing additional support to pupils who require it
• Helping children develop independence and confidence
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting classroom activities and preparation
• Working closely with teaching staff
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
• Have at least 6 months'' experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
• Have a genuine passion for primary education
• Be patient, reliable and proactive
• Be confident working with primary-aged children
• Have strong communication skills
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
