Teaching Assistant - Hounslow

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow who are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team for a September 2026 start. The school is recognised for its strong pastoral support and structured learning environment for pupils aged 11-16. Staff work closely together to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need, while leadership prioritise professional development and staff wellbeing.

The Role
You will support teachers and students across the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will provide support during lessons, assist with classroom routines, and work with students who may require additional guidance. This is a full-time role working 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Working with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning
* Assisting with classroom behaviour management and promoting positive engagement
* Supporting students with varying learning needs, including additional support where required
* Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials
* Encouraging student confidence, participation and independence in learning

Requirements:
* Previous UK-based secondary school experience is essential and candidates without this will not be considered
* Experience supporting young people in a classroom setting
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive and supportive approach
* A genuine passion for supporting students'' learning and development
