A welcoming, community-focused school in the Blackpool area is seeking a dedicated, patient, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their support team. In this role, you will work closely with an individual child who requires targeted learning, emotional regulation, and communication support throughout the school day. Working directly alongside the class teacher and SENDCO, you will provide a consistent, structured, and nurturing environment to help the pupil access the curriculum and thrive in class. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 academic, emotional, and social support to an individual child inside and outside the classroom. Implement individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, adapting classroom tasks into accessible, bite-sized activities. Support positive behaviour management, identifying triggers early and applying calm de-escalation techniques.
