1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Bury | BL9

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a caring and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Bury, BL9.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The role will involve:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil
• Supporting access to classroom learning
• Helping develop communication and social skills
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Supporting emotional regulation and engagement
• Reinforcing positive behaviour strategies
• Supporting literacy and numeracy activities
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
• Following individual support strategies
• Contributing to a safe and inclusive classroom

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
• Have at least 6 months'' experience working with children in the UK, either professionally or voluntarily
• Have a genuine interest in SEND
• Be patient, calm and resilient
• Be able to build strong professional relationships
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
