Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - Nursery) Location: Primary School, Chesterfield Hours: 12:30pm - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (15 hours per week) Start Date: ASAPA welcoming primary school in Chesterfield is seeking a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a nursery-aged child with special educational needs.This rewarding role will involve working closely with a young pupil who has low language skills and requires support with personal care. You will play a key part in helping the child access learning through play, while also developing their attention, listening, and early communication skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.The Role:Providing 1:1 support for a nursery child with additional needsSupporting personal care needs with dignity and sensitivityEncouraging learning through structured and child-led playHelping develop attention, listening, and early communication skillsWorking closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plansCreating a safe, positive and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience supporting young children with special educational needs is essentialExperience working in Early Years or Nursery settings is highly desirableConfident supporting children with low language and communication needsCalm, patient, and nurturing approachAble to build strong, trusting relationships with young childrenComfortable providing personal care as requiredA strong ..... full job details .....
