Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary School in Bolton, with an ASAP start.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic education professional who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping young people reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide effective support across the classroom and contribute positively to the wider school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing classroom support to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Working alongside teachers to support learning and engagement.

• Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support where required.

• Helping pupils remain focused, motivated and involved in their learning.

• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.

• Assisting with classroom activities, preparation and general learning resources.

• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.

• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, inclusive learning environment.

• Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting its policies and expectations.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is reliable, enthusiastic and confident working with secondary-aged pupils. You should be able to establish positive relationships with young people, communicate effectively with staff and demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting pupils'' education.

Please note: only applicants who have previous professional experience working in schools or an education setting will be considered for this position. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or in another relevant school-based education role is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within a school or education setting.

• Experience supporting children or young people in a classroom environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive, patient and professional approach.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.

• Good classroom management and behaviour-support skills.

• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

• Flexibility and a willingness to support pupils and staff where needed.
