Teaching Assistant

Slough, Berkshire
Full-Time or Part-Time | September 2026 Start | Academic Year Contract
-95105 per day PAYE (depending on experience)

A well-established 3-form entry primary school in Slough is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

The school is open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates and can offer opportunities across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on experience. The role may involve general classroom support or supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term position within a supportive and well-resourced primary school.

The Role

Depending on experience, the successful candidate may:

  • Provide general classroom support within EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Support individual pupils or small groups with learning activities
  • Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and mathematics
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO where appropriate


Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a UK primary school
  • Experience supporting children in a classroom environment
  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

The school is keen to hear from candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or Intervention TA.
