Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking patient, reliable, and compassionate individuals based in or around Wokingham who are interested in supporting young people in a role that goes beyond traditional teaching. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and who understand that some young people need stability, encouragement, and consistent support alongside their learning. The Students You ll Support Most of our referrals involve children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs or other complex challenges. Many of the young people we support: Have found it difficult to thrive in mainstream school environments May currently be out of education or attending on a reduced timetable Require structured, calm, and consistent support to rebuild confidence Availability To ensure continuity for our students, we ask Teaching Assistants to commit to: A minimum of hours per week Core hours between 8:30am and 3:30pm Availability Monday to Friday Consistency is extremely important in this role, as many of our learners benefit greatly from predictable routines and stable support.
