These rewarding and varied full-time teaching assistant roles will start in September 2026 (with the possibility of some additional work this term). Previous experience working with children is not essential for the teaching assistant roles in Islington, although other relevant experience (for example in dance, drama, sports, youth work or arts) would be advantageous, as would experience supporting children or adults with SEN. You should hold either a relevant teaching assistant qualification (such as a CACHE Level 3) or a university degree (although this does not necessarily need to relate to childcare or education).
