Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant required to provide whole-class and 1-2-1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs at a primary school in Wolverhampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide whole-class support alongside the class teacher as well as dedicated 1-2-1 support for pupils with SEND. The Teaching Assistant will help pupils access learning, develop confidence and engage positively within the classroom.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with pupils with SEND is highly desirable. The successful Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive and confident building positive relationships with children.
Job Role:

• Providing whole-class Teaching Assistant support.
• Providing 1-2-1 support for pupils with SEND.
• Supporting pupils to access lessons and engage with learning.
• Working closely with the class teacher to support learning.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and communication skills.
• Supporting individual learning targets and interventions.
• Building positive relationships with pupils.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Working as part of the wider school and SEND team.
