Job Role:

  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs in small groups and one-to-one settings.
  • Collaborating with a team of Teaching Assistants to develop group activities and meet individual needs.
  • Offering tailored intervention for children requiring additional help with their learning.
  • Making learning engaging, fun, and accessible for all pupils.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting classroom management.
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Classroom Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 months of experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant role and its impact on student learning.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature to support children’s development effectively.
