The Role
Are you seeking a role where you can really make a difference in a vulnerable pupils life£ Are you passionate about supporting pupils and creating positive outcomes for them£ If so we would love to hear from you. We work in partnership with Schools across the Bradford LEA, and we have several roles available with immediate starts and roles in September.

You will support pupils with a variety of additional needs such as Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). These pupils often lack stability in their home life, so your role is not only to support them academically but also to provide emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-to-one and group support: Assist pupils with challenging behaviour in managing their emotions and behaviour, ensuring they are engaged in their learning.
- Implement behaviour management strategies: Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management plans.
- Support academic progress: Help pupils understand and engage with the curriculum, providing tailored support where necessary.
- Foster a safe learning environment: Ensure the classroom remains a safe and supportive space for all pupils.
- Collaborate with staff and parents: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure consistent support for each pupil.

About You

- Experience: Previous experience working with children or adults with SEN and/or challenging behaviour is essential. This does not need to be in an education setting however.
- Skills: Approachable, Strong interpersonal skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Attitude: A positive, empathetic approach to working with children and a commitment to their development and wellbeing.
