Nurture & Small Group Intervention Support – Ferryhill
Are you passionate about supporting children to build confidence, develop positive relationships and reach their full potential?
We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Ferryhill, supporting pupils through a mixture of nurture provision and small-group interventions.
The Role:
This varied role will involve supporting pupils both within the classroom and through targeted nurture and intervention sessions.
You will work with small groups of pupils in the afternoons, helping to develop their confidence, emotional wellbeing, communication, social skills and engagement with learning.
You may also support pupils with targeted interventions, adapting activities to meet individual needs and helping children make positive progress.
We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Experience delivering small-group interventions is desirable
- A nurturing, patient and supportive approach
- Confidence working with children who may require additional emotional or learning support
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Someone who can build positive relationships with pupils
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to helping children succeed
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, HLTA or experienced childcare/education professional who enjoys a varied role and wants to make a genuine difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
