TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large school in Cardiff that supports pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs. The school requires an adaptable and supportive ALN Teaching Assistant who is comfortable working across different areas of the setting, including their ASD base.

The school is looking to take on an ALN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, working 6.5 hours per day. The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support while also being flexible enough to work within the ASD base when required, helping pupils to engage with their learning and access appropriate support.

The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous experience providing 1:1 support to children or young people
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Experience or confidence supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
• A patient and supportive approach
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
• A flexible and positive attitude
