Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils across a mainstream infant school?

Do you have experience leading lessons, delivering interventions and providing targeted SEND support?

Are you flexible with your working days and able to adapt to a changing three-day-per-week timetable?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream infant school in Borrowash with a dedicated SEND Hub. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on meeting individual pupil needs and helping children access learning successfully.

The school is looking to take on a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from October until July 2027, working 20 hours across three days each week. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will need to be flexible as working days may change weekly, and the role will involve a combination of leading lessons, covering classes, delivering interventions and supporting pupils within the SEND Hub.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:

• HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification
• Experience working within a primary or infant school setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Confidence leading lessons and covering classes when required
• Experience delivering targeted interventions
• A flexible, patient and adaptable approach
