TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large mainstream school in Cardiff that is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every pupil is supported to succeed. The school promotes a positive and nurturing ethos, encouraging pupils with ALN to develop both academically and personally through high-quality support.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils with ALN, supporting their learning, encouraging independence and confidence, and assisting with personal care where required while remaining flexible and responsive to the needs of the classroom.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with ALN (Additional Learning Needs)

• A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils

• The ability to think on your feet and respond positively to changing situations

• Experience providing personal care or a willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
