Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in the Worksop area that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Primary Teaching Assistant.

The school provides a positive and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting pupils across the primary age range.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout the school day. You will assist with classroom activities, provide individual and small-group support and help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

• Have previous experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Support pupils individually and in small groups
• Assist with reading, writing and numeracy activities
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Be patient, caring, reliable and enthusiastic
• Work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, although strong experience will also be considered

• A permanent position within a supportive primary school
