TeacherActive is proud to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Caerphilly that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery class. The school is committed to creating a nurturing learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential through high-quality support and positive relationships.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support within the Nursery class, working closely with a child who presents with challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a resilient, confident individual with a proven track record of successfully managing challenging behaviour and building positive relationships with young children.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting
• Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, patient and resilient attitude
