Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with welcoming primary schools across Worksop that are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Key Stage 1.

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development, both within the classroom and through one-to-one or small-group activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience supporting children who is looking to develop their career within primary education.

• Have experience supporting children within a school or similar setting
• Be confident working with pupils across Key Stage 1
• Support children with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support when required
• Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and behaviour management
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Have a patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, although relevant experience will also be considered
