We are looking for a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Slough. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support students aged 11 to 16 in both their academic progress and personal development. Youandrsquo;ll play an active role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, assisting with a variety of classroom activities to help all students reach their full potential.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities
- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups to enhance learning
- Help maintain a positive and focused classroom environment by supporting behaviour management
- Assist in preparing and organising learning materials and classroom resources
- Promote studentsandrsquo; social and emotional wellbeing through ongoing support and encouragement
- Contribute to school events and extracurricular activities as needed
The ideal candidate will:
- Prior experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not required
- Demonstrates patience, approachability, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and proactive in approach
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are beneficial but not essential
