Teaching Assistant

Supply Desk are seeking SEND teaching assistants for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant in the Petersfield area

Starting from January 2026 on a long-term contract

Monday- Friday8;30- 3:30

andpound;82-andpound;95 per day (dependent upon experience)

Job Description:

• Some experience with children with additional needs preferred especially SEMH
• Desire to work throughout Key stages (4-11 year olds)
• Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths, Literacy, life skills and social skills or 1:1 with specific pupils and supporting their needs
• Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract

Individual Profile:

• A nurturing and caring nature
• GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
• Experience of working with children/young people
• Experience of working with adults and or children with Social Emotional and Mental Health issues
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding
• Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
• First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
