Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionateandnbsp;SEND Teaching andnbsp;Assistantandnbsp;to join a andnbsp;small teaching team in the picturesque New Forest. This is to support a child 1:1 mostly for speech and language needs. andnbsp;The position is available to start in September 2025.

The school is based close to Lymington for Infant and Junior Students and is a small 1 form entry school. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and assistance to 1 student needing support at the beginning of their academic journey
• Having some knowledge of Speech and Language practices would be beneficial
• Support students in participating in educational activities and lessons.
• Ensure studentsandrsquo; safety and comfort at all times.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other care professionals to create and implement individualised care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the appropriate staff members.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an SEND teaching assistant or similar role (preferably within an educational or healthcare setting).
• A resilient and hardworking ethos.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with students, staff, and parents.
• An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
• A commitment to promoting the well-being and independence of students.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required (we will assist with this process if necessary).
