Teaching Assistant

Location: BoltonStart Date: ASAPPay: 110- 120 per dayWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Intervention Mentor to work within a secondary alternative provision in Bolton.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience supporting young people who may struggle to engage with mainstream education, particularly those with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs or additional barriers to learning.The role will involve building positive relationships with pupils, providing 1:1 and small-group support, managing challenging behaviour and helping young people develop the confidence and skills to engage with their education.The successful candidate must:Have previous experience working as an Intervention Mentor or in a similar role.Have experience supporting secondary-aged pupils.Have experience working with young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.Be confident managing challenging situations and de-escalating behaviour.Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.Have a valid DBS on the Update Service.Hold up-to-date Safeguarding and Allergy Awareness training certificates.Be reliable, patient and able to build positive relationships with young people.If you have the relevant experience, enjoy making a difference and are looking for your next opportunity within education, we would love to hear from you.Interested?
