As a Teaching Assistant, you''ll work alongside teachers to help pupils access learning and feel confident in the classroom.

Depending on the school and age group, your responsibilities could include:

• Supporting pupils during lessons

• Working with individuals and small groups

• Delivering interventions

• Supporting reading, literacy and numeracy

• Providing 1:1 classroom support

• Supporting pupils with additional educational needs

• Helping children remain engaged and focused

• Preparing classroom resources

• Encouraging confidence and independence

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Classroom Assistant is desirable, but we can also consider candidates with relevant experience from childcare, nursery, tutoring, youth work, coaching or other child-focused settings.

You''ll need to be patient, reliable and comfortable building positive professional relationships with children and school staff.
