About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SEN specialists, and support staff to provide a nurturing and structured learning environment. The school delivers a personalised curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of pupils with ASD, including communication and sensory needs.Your role as a Teaching Assistant will include:Supporting pupils with ASD to access learning through adapted and personalised curriculum approachesBuilding positive, consistent relationships to support communication and emotional regulationAssisting with structured routines and visual supports to aid understanding and independenceSupporting 1:1 and small group activities focused on academic, social, and life skills developmentImplementing strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, and sensory support (training can be provided)Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils through calm, consistent approachesAssisting with transitions throughout the school day to ensure pupils feel secure ..... full job details .....
