You will be supporting pupils across the school, including children who display challenging behaviour, so previous experience managing behavioural needs is essential. Experience gained within a school, SEND setting, alternative provision or another relevant education and training environment would be highly beneficial.The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning, remain engaged in lessons and make positive academic, social and emotional progress.Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.Supporting children who display challenging behaviour.Using positive behaviour-management and de-escalation strategies.Helping pupils regulate their emotions and manage difficult situations.Supporting children with their literacy, numeracy and general classroom learning.Delivering targeted interventions and booster sessions when required.Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials.Encouraging pupils to remain focused, ..... full job details .....
