About-the-role:

As-a-Teaching-AssistantBehavioural-Support,-you-will-be-working-closely-with-pupils-on-a-1:1-basis-and-in-small-groups-to-support-their-learning,-behaviour,-and-emotional-development.-You-will-work-under-the-guidance-of-teaching-staff-and-SENCOs-to-help-deliver-tailored-support-strategies-that-break-down-barriers-to-learning-and-promote-inclusion.

Key-responsibilities:-

• Provide-targeted-1:1-and-small-group-support-for-pupils-with-EBD.
• Assist-with-the-educational,-emotional,-and-social-development-of-pupils.
• Work-closely-with-teachers-to-implement-personalised-support-plans.
• Promote-a-positive-and-inclusive-classroom-environment.
• Support-pupils-with-daily-routines,-transitions,-and-emotional-regulation.
• Help-deliver-interventions-in-areas-such-as-literacy,-numeracy,-or-communication.
• Build-strong-relationships-with-pupils,-acting-as-a-positive-and-consistent-role-model.
• Monitor-progress-and-feedback-to-teachers-and-SENCOs.

The-ideal-Teaching-AssistantBehavioural-Support-will:

• Have-previous-experience-working-with-children-with-SEND/-EBD-(desirable-but-not-essential).
• Demonstrate-a-strong-understanding-of-Autism,-ADHD,-SEMH,-or-communication-needs.
• Have-a-Teaching-Assistant-qualificationLevel-2-or-3-(desirable-but-not-essential).
• Be-patient,-empathetic,-and-calm-under-pressure.
• Show-adaptability-and-a-proactive-attitude-in-the-classroom.
• Be-a-team-player-who-can-also-work-independently.
• Have-a-genuine-passion-for-supporting-children-with-additional-needs.
• Be-open-to-training-and-professional-development-opportunities.

Requirements:

• Proven-track-record-or-relevant-school-based-experience.
• A-current,-enhanced-DBS-on-the-update-service,-or-be-willing-to-apply-for-one.
• Relevant-references-to-support-your-application.
• Willingness-to-attend-a-face-to-face-registration-and-complete-necessary-vetting-checks.
