Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role supporting children across primary schools in Sheffield?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to work across a range of primary school settings, supporting pupils with additional needs both within mainstream classrooms and specialist SEN provisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

As an SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Support children within mainstream primary classrooms and specialist SEN units.
• Work alongside teachers and other support staff to deliver effective learning support.
• Help pupils develop positive behaviour for learning and engagement.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions where required.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils'' needs.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Promote pupils'' independence and confidence.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting pupils with SEND.
• Has experience supporting behaviour for learning and managing challenging behaviour positively.
• Is confident working with children who may have complex or additional needs.
• Can work effectively within both mainstream classrooms and specialist provisions.
• Is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children.
• Works well as part of a wider school team.
• Is professional, reliable and adaptable.
• Holds relevant experience or qualifications as a Teaching Assistant.

A Team Teach qualification would be advantageous, particularly for candidates supporting pupils with behavioural or complex needs, but it is not essential.
