About the role We''re recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school''s SEND team in Camberwell, South London. This is a varied and rewarding role that will shape your career in education whilst making a tangible difference to young people with complex needs. As a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEND, you''ll work at the heart of the school''s special needs provision, delivering targeted support across multiple year groups and settings. You''ll be part of a dedicated SEND team, working collaboratively to remove barriers to learning and enable young people to succeed. Your role as a SEND TA will include: Delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions for pupils with complex needs Co-delivering specialist programmes supporting communication, language and learning Supporting pupils'' integration into mainstream classroom settings Building relationships and trust with young people who''ve experienced educational barriers Contributing to assessment and progress tracking that drives pupil outcomes Supporting behaviour strategies and safeguarding frameworks Working flexibly across different settings (classroom, intervention spaces, off-site provision) Adapting resources and strategies to meet individual learning profiles Collaborating with external agencies and specialists Attending multi-agency meetings and contributing to planning The role is genuinely varied: no two days are the same.
